How long has the romper been such a key piece?
The earliest advert about the romper being available dates back to the early 20th century when rompers were the go to garments for children, due to their loose fitting and light washable fabric, they were compared to ‘pinafore garments’.
Rompers were refreshing change on the restricted Victorian style clothing children wore previous, and this has allowed them to become a staple in children’s wardrobes worldwide to this day.
Rompers have continued to be a popular fashion must have not only for children but for women and in recent years also men, featuring regularly throughout the catwalks and on the high street. From casual looks right through to smart occasion wear there certainly is a romper to cover all your little ones outfit needs.
